Light Echoed
  • Light Echoed

Gazing out over the restless sea towards the horizon with its dusting of magenta. Ocean light reflected in white and grey on blues, while below the surface for a moment the sea harnesses its power.

It is here that a sense of space envelops me. Refreshing, renewing, a place to breathe.

This is what inspired this latest painting. I used only my bare hands to paint this, no brushes. I finished off with a bit of white paint on a large palette knife pulled across the surface.

I wanted to capture the openness of space but still with that sense of movement and strength.

I find by using my hands to paint it allows me to impart this emotion to the canvas.

Large scale original, 116x116cm acrylic canvas stretched on wooden frame. (46x46”)

    Ready to hang.
