Frequently Asked Questions

Are your artworks original?

Yes. All original artworks are created by Olivia Alexander in her Gold Coast studio and are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Do you offer art prints? .

Yes. A selection of artworks is available as gallery-quality fine art prints. Depending on the collection, prints may be available as open editions or limited editions.

Each print is produced using archival materials designed to provide exceptional colour and longevity.

We use trusted print partners in Australia, UK, USA and Canada and where possible, we shipped direct from those countries depending on the clients address.

What is the difference between an original artwork and a print? .

An original artwork is a one-of-a-kind piece created by hand using mixed media, acrylics, natural pigments and other materials.

Fine art prints are high-quality reproductions of original artworks produced using archival inks and papers or canvas.

Limited edition prints are signed and numbered, while open edition prints are not limited in quantity.

What is Ocean Alchemy™?

Ocean Alchemy™ is Olivia Alexander’s signature artistic process inspired by the colours, movement and energy of Australia’s coastal landscapes. Many works incorporate multiple translucent layers, natural pigments, metallic leaf, polished shell and mixed media elements to create depth, texture and subtle shifts in light.

Are all of your artworks part of the Ocean Alchemy collection?

Ocean Alchemy™ is the foundation of much of Olivia’s work, however she also creates collections inspired by estuaries, reefs, coastal landscapes, botanical forms and the colours found in nature. Each collection explores a different aspect of Australia’s natural beauty while remaining connected through her distinctive layered style.

Can I view artwork in person?

Yes. Studio visits on the Gold Coast are available by appointment.

If you would like to view a specific artwork before purchasing, please get in touch to arrange a suitable time.

Do you offer commissions?

Occasionally, yes.

A limited number of commission projects are accepted each year. If you are interested in a custom artwork, please contact Olivia with details about the size, colour palette, location and inspiration for the piece.

Can you help me choose artwork for my home or project?

Absolutely.

If you’re unsure which artwork may suit your space, simply send a photograph of the room along with wall measurements. Guidance can be provided on scale, framing and suitable collections.

Do your artworks come framed?

Some original artworks are sold framed, while others are available unframed.

Framing information is listed on each artwork page. If you have questions about a particular piece, please get in touch.

How do I care for my artwork?

  • Avoid direct sunlight where possible.
  •  Keep artwork away from excessive moisture or humidity.
  • Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use cleaning products on the surface.

Verified Archival Materials Used

Verified Archival Materials Used

The Art Storefronts Organization has verified that this Art Seller has published information about the archival materials used to create their products in an effort to provide transparency to buyers.

Description from Merchant:

The quality and longevity of my art is of utmost importance to me. As a professional artist I have chosen to use the best materials in my work. All my materials are archival quality. I choose professional level inks, acrylic and watercolour paints and mediums from companies such as, Golden, Matisse, Liquitex to name a few. Canvases are triple primed, paper for both original art and prints are museum quality and produced with archival inks. Artworks are given a layer of isolation coat then 2-3 layers of varnish. Paintings featuring imitation gold leaf are sealed with UV protection varnish spray to prevent tarnishing. Gold leaf over 22k doesn’t need sealing but I do anyway. https://goldenartistcolors.com/products/golden-artist-acrylics https://www.matisse.com.au/ https://www.liquitex.com
