Reflections 4

Original one only, in a series of five, 22 carat pure gold leaf, ink, acrylics, watercolours on 300 gsm Arches paper fixed to 20x20cm board. Mounted and framed under glass. 
Artwork is sealed and varnished with conservation UV varnish to protect gold and pigments. Framed in a 20 x 20cm (8x8”)natural wood frame, glass can be removed if preferred. 

I’ve called this series simply, REFLECTIONS. 
The inspiration comes from sitting beside the ocean rock pools, watching the tide flowing in and out. Sunlight dancing upon the water. 

I feel a peace and a hope in this place of inspiration. 
The raised gold leaf in the painting reminds me of hope. It speaks to me of healing and restoration as I put my faith in the One who created the very ocean that inspires me everyday.
